What is #JohnsRideForMS? I’m so glad you asked.
I’ve been running marathons for over 10 years, but always said that I’d like to transition from running to bike riding; after all, I’d like to have knees left in 30 years. I’d also always wanted to start running for a charity, rather than doing it just for fun. (Not that those are mutually exclusive concepts.) If and when I start riding my bike more seriously, I thought, I’d like to do a century bike ride: 100 miles in a day.
Well, recently I was presented with an opportunity to knock out all of those birds with a single stone: Bike MS. A bike ride to raise money for the treatment of, and hopefully cure for, Multiple Sclerosis.
So, this March, I’ll be participating in my second annual BikeMS to raise money for research toward treatment and a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. And I’d like you to be a part of my journey! I can use sponsors. Will you be my sponsor? If you can, go to my event page and make a donation. No donation is too small; everything helps! (Literally, nothing is too small. Send a dollar! A quarter, even!)
